Lodestone the Scribner

It’s Powwow time again. Have you gotten your little cardboard airplanes ready? The theme this year, as you likely know, is Smokie and the Red Bandit. If any of you men and older boys can get up to Ranger Mountain early this year, I’m sure there will be plenty of opportunities for service unto Him.

With the purchase of some new software I am now able to keep better track of the mailing list and membership dues. The most recent year for which your dues have been paid is now printed immediately above your mailing address on each newsletter. If it says 1996 your membership will lapse at the end of this year.

On the prayer list:
Pray for our schools. I think we can all agree that what we need is not more gun control but more Jesus. Please pray specifically for student-led Bible and prayer groups in public schools. You young bucks in public school should consider joining one (or starting one if necessary) if you’re not already attending. Contact Keith Big Bear Elder for information about Youth Alive in your school.

Pray for revival in your community, in Royal Rangers and Montana FCF. (II Chron. 7:14)

Larry Dogbone Renney’s wife, Sherry, is recovering from major surgery. Pray for healing in her body and her soul. Also, Dogbone is in his final months of full-time schooling. Please pray that through all these difficulties Jesus will draw them both closer to Him.

It would appear that my brother-in-law, Wade, is about ready to turn his life over to Christ. Pray he continues on to the place of salvation.

A praise report: Cmdr. Chris Green Hornet Meiers and his wife, Mandy, are the proud parents of their second child, Christopher, delivered by C-section May 10. Mother and baby are doing well.

And another: On April 10, MacKenzie Eileen Way was born. I thank you for your prayers on our behalf and I covet continued prayer for our finances.

Send me your prayer requests for the newsletter so we can lift one another up in prayer. The next issue of the Little Big Horn Fur Company Chronicles goes to press by Aug. 15.

See ya’ll on the mountain.
