| Coming soon: Montana district’s first annual Ranger Mountain Adventure.
Pow Wow is no more but RMA is on the books to take its place.
The theme for this first RMA is African Adventure. Outposts are being asked to bring the fixings for traditional African games. Lots of prizes straight from the African continent will be on hand. The special guest speaker on Ranger Mountain will be Ed Corbin, who trains children's workers at his camp in South Africa. This should prove to be a memorable time on the mountain so bring your camping gear, bring a heart to hear from Jesus and bring the boys and their dads. Ranger Mountain Adventure is June 16-18, 2000, Father’s Day weekend. [Scribe’s note: Also bring written permission from the parents of any and all boys who wish to trade knives. This year that policy will be strictly enforced. “No slip. No trade.”] —Lodestone

Louisiana:
District Royal Rangers Commander David Craun was accompanied by Alton Foster
and Steve McFarland when he joined a group of six Ranger leaders from the
United States who visited Nigeria and Ghana in December.
The team conducted Leadership Training Courses and National Training Camps. "A very large percentage of the population in these countries is under the age of 15," Craun says. "Royal Rangers has come alive in Africa, where leaders are using it to reach thousands of boys every year." —AG News online

Well known children’s pastor and perpetual FCF candidate Pastor Nate
Lashway heads off to the deep, dark reaches of Africa this month. Pastor
Lashway is going to the country of Tanzania in eastern Africa.
While there he will be putting on a children’s crusade. That will be a unique challenge for him, he says, because he’s never spoken through an interpreter before, let alone given a whole presentation. Pastor Lashway says he’s scared to death he’ll say something that won’t translate properly and end up saying something bad. Sponsoring Pastor Lashway to Tanzania are children’s missionaries Mike and Kari Ness. Pray Pastor Nate returns home safely with many reports of God's great
goodness.
