In Memorial

Little Big Horn Chapter lost one of its own. Dean King died early last November. Dubbed “Slippery Walrus,” Dean was a life member of Montana FCF.

Dean was committed to ministering to boys, involved in Royal Rangers since 1972. He was a member of the council for Outpost Five at First Assembly Life Center. His service to boys also extended to Boy Scouts.

A man who spent much time in the outdoors, Dean was happy vacationing, fishing and hunting with his wife, Joanne, and his boys. Dean will be remembered as “the best cook at Ranger Mountain.”

His two sons, Chip and Skip, came up through the Royal Ranger program.

Dean’s family has set up a memorial fund. Funds will go toward the King’s Cabin at Ranger Mountain. One side of the log cabin will be the new store and camp registration area. The other will provide quarters for guest speakers. Contributions can be sent to King’s Cabin at the district council in Billings.

Dean will be missed by anyone who has met him. He was forty-nine.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth.
The Lord is thy keeper:
the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil:
He shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out
and thy coming in from this time forth,
and even for evermore.

Psalm 121
